Do You Find Internet Explorer Slower Than Google Chrome?

I have had to resort to using IE recently for Swagbucks but still use Chrome for other sites and find Chrome loads pages so much faster and with so much ease, yet IE seems to lag a bit and can sometimes freeze for a few seconds. I have fibre optic broadband so know it is not my internet as Google works fine with all other sites. I do often get the dread page not responding message when using IE. What do you think?

I stopped using IE a few years ago. I find Chrome and Firefox are way way better.

@gudheart they had some problems a few years ago, I can't remember what it was, but it scared me so I deleted that mess from my computer.

Well I have a Chromebook so I cant use IE. I used to though and it was awful for me in my experience. Any other browser worked for me. Not sure what the problem was.

Seems to be bugging on me too. Strange considering it is made by Microsoft Windows.

@TiarasOceanView I guess the other browsers are just miles ahead of IE in terms of advances and speed. I find Chrome as great add on features too.

Maybe Sharon needs to do this also as she has some probs with that site as well. I was having quite a few problems with IE and went to Chrome. Works alot better on here and other sites I frequent. I think Swagbucks might be one of them.

At times I feel that all connections are slow sometimes. I just get off and go on later.

I don't use IE anymore, except at work. Chrome is my browser of choice on my tablet and is fine and speedy {even when using Swagbucks}, but Firefox is very slow. I use Firefox on the PC and laptop, where it works brilliantly. Oddities make the world go round!

IE has always been very slow and there are some sites that you cannot see with IE.

Ofcourse IE is pretty slow as compared to chrome and firefox. Both chrome and firefox are lighter than IE and hence they are quicker to load. Moreover lot of features in IE are not that advanced as later two . Chrome is best browser for me at this moment.
