I know what i am doing, i know i am just being careful.
Went to the market earlier, to buy fish and tomatoes. After.buying a kill of fish, i dropped bu to my "suki"--a vendor whom i have been buying vegetables.
As i was looking for better tomatoes, she told me that they are the same, i should not be choosy. But i didn't listen. Taking my time to look for those that aren't overriped, she kept telling me the same thing.
To be honest, i felt more embarassed that her, who keeps on talking. Her voice is getting louder and i have seen few people looking at our direction.
I heaved a sigh, i just bought half a kilo. Then grab few white onions and bell peppers.
Why i still buy?
That will be the last. Like a goodbye thing on her store. A "despedida". Lol.
Oh well...
Have you ever had the same experience with anyone who sells some stuff?

I had an unpleasant experience with a noodle seller whom I didn't go to again after she kept grilling me about where I stayed, what I did for a living and why I wasn't at her store after so long.

@sugartoes You're right, I felt really offended by her invasive questions. Thanks for speaking up for me.

This lady was buying some green vegetables from a woman seller who told her that she was only supposed to pick those that were placed on top so as not to make a mess by rearranging. But when this lady continued with scooping deeper and deeper, the seller shouted at her that she either picks only the top most vegetables or leave her wares alone. So the lady opted to leave and this seller was left mumbling things that no one could hear.

I hate it when store attendants or sales people nag me. I like to choose my veggies and fruits. I guess, I will like you not return to such shops again if I had a similar experience.
Looks like your egg plant is in fruit. I love eating homegrown veggies.

We don't have small shops, just big grocery stores and you can touch the produce as much as you want. I would find a new place to buy too, don't blame you at all. We have a lot of farm markets on the road side but they never tell you not to touch, they are just happy to have you as a customer...I think your lady forgot what was important.

This thought of selecting the best as being selfish has gone through my mind. The leftovers will be for those who come to buy later (lol)

Yes, I've experienced that. It is a quick way to drive away customers.
