Happy Birthday Harley

I'm not a motorcycle rider by any means, but today our local Harley Davidson dealership was celebrating their 23rd birthday with a birthday bash, and I couldn't resist the opportunity to drop by.
Free food and free beer, as well as a live band, prizes and giveaways were on tap today. The band was rockin' some good southern rock tunes (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchett, Allman Brothers, ZZ Top), and the free beer wasn't the cheap kind! A local craft brewery donated a couple of kegs of good quality stuff, so that helped make the day more fun!
A lot of people were in attendance, so it was a successful event. The entire event helped raise money for the local humane society. I enjoyed seeing all the Harley riders and their hogs, which were on display. I admit there were some pretty cool bikes. Made me almost want to buy one! Knowing I'd kill myself within minutes on a motorcycle, I just showed up today to enjoy the festivities, not to buy a motorcycle! It was a fun day!

I did nothing and it was fun! About ten years ago when I helped promote a southern rock band, they did a freebie for Harley Davidson and I am thinking all proceeds went to the American cancer society. I felt 100% out of place :)

Glad you didn't attempt to ride one then lol Funny enough a motorbike is driving past me as I type this. ( I am in the back of the car on the laptop ). Dad, Nan, Pop & I went away for the week and now coming back home which will be like 4 - 5 hours.
At the moment, I am on here, looking at the lovely scenery and hoping for a stop soon. Gotta pee lol

I hope you had a good time! I never like coming back from a trip, because it means the fun's all over and we must go back to the real world. Where did you go?

Thank you. Yeah it was good. But I am glad to be back. I did love where we were and spending time with my family but I was missing home and was finding it a bit overwhelming having people around me 24 / 7. Didn't have "me" time which was hard. Soon as I got home I went into my room just to get away from any humans roaming about the place lol
We went to a place called Hamelin Bay. We stayed in a cottage there. And also drove around to places called Augusta, Busselton and Margaret River. Beautiful down there. If you come to Australia, I seriously recommend you go there. There's also a Chocolate Factory in Margaret River. You get some free tastings too so...another reason why it's awesome.

@moffittjc lol well we drove past there. I totally forgot Judy lived there. Actually we even stopped at one place there on the way back to grab breakfast so who knows, maybe I walked by her.

Sounds like a good time to me. My Sunday was nice and relaxing didn't do much but watch movies until I had to go bowling later in the evening.

I have a motorcycle license and been riding for years. I sold my Harley during my divorce and miss it. I went to Milwaukee for the Harley 100th anniversary and it was a fun time. Whether one rides or not there is something fun for everyone at the events and at the dealer bashes.
