Anyone have a robot vacuum cleaner?

Recently, I found an offer I couldn't resist - $990 down to $218. I'd wanted one of these gadgets for a while but held off thinking that that tiny thing wouldn't hold enough dirt. Much to my surprise it picks up fine dust, sand, pet fur and other chunky bits. It's fantastic and I have no problem emptying it every now and then, it actually holds quite a lot. I love this thing and am in awe of how good a job it does. Sure, I still vacuum but not nearly as much as my Genie does a much better, more thorough job.

@scarlet_woman You make me so glad I live alone - although my puppy needs to be followed and cleaned up after.

Yes, we have a robo cleaner for a few years.
Sometimes the robo cleaner gets stuck under the sofa, and we have a hard time getting it out.
It sure can clean the hidden corners, eg under the bed etc, better than using the normal vacuum cleaner.

I love mine. For some reason, the floors definitely look cleaner when I use it. I used my ordinary cleaner the other day, it picked up just as much dirt but I had to work it. the genie needs to be emptied more often but comparatively speaking, that's no big deal.

I don't know how those robot vacs can possibly work all that well. Hope it continues to keep you happy.

It does make a noise but it's not too loud and after a while it just becomes a background noise. Mine has a remote control so that if there is a bit it's missing i can get it to focus on that bit but it also notices a very dirty spot by itself. It has sensors and bumper bars all around it so it doesn't bump into things too much. I'm still amazed by how much it collects (it talks to me when it's full) and what a thorough job it does

@MsTickle My vacuum makes a terrible noise and it misses all kind of things. It sucks actually. I like what you have and it makes me want one. To think you can go out and someone does your cleaning for you is great. You should give it a name and tiny flowers for being good.

I have a warning, If you have pets, that robot vaccuum cleaner will scare them away. Oh one more thing, It can't clean corners.

I can say that mine works and works really well. Even my wooden floors are shiny because it picks up the fine dust while my regular vacuum cleaner just moves the fine stuff around. I did read a lot of reviews and some machines do give a poor performance.
