Before I went to bed last night

Before I went to bed last night, my 8-year-old daughter said, "I love you, Dad."
She doesn't usually say that. She's not the type who would volunteer how she feels and would rather keep these things to herself.
I felt good hearing it. I smiled and went to bed with happy, happy thoughts.
How about you, have you told someone you love them recently?

That is very sweet. The last person I said I love you to was my boyfriend.

Mostly I just tell my husband how I feel. I am not around others very much. This was a small thing from your daughter but somehow I feel you will remember it forever.

That's the best thing a parent can hear from their children, that is very important so they inspire themselves to be active in their everydya life for the kids. I say that to my mom too.

Yes, my children always tell us I love you Mom, Dad especially when we went to bed and this time when they are far from us, they always say, I love you Mom, Dad and take good care always. When someone we love say that to us, we felt so happy.

That must be really lovely!
I always told my children I love them, they always tell me that as well, especially my little girl. My 7 year old son doesn't say that as much as he did. So I think I'd be really happy if he still says that to me when he is 10 or even 15 years old.
Well, I should have say that more often to my husband, but certainly not as often as I say to my children.

I always tell that to my son, and he rarely tells me but when he does, I can feel his sincerity. we also kiss each other goodnight, or when i leave or he leaves home, or when he finishes his bath.
