I almost went where I shouldn't have gone

Yup, I got confused. For the last 2 1/2 years I had a hair appointment every first Tuesday of the month. Tuesday....that's today. But I forgot that I am now going to a new salon and my appointment is tomorrow...Wednesday. I guess old dogs are slow learning new tricks! By the time I figure it out I'll change salons and days LOL! I hope I remember the right day next month. I know I'm not the only one who gets days confused at times! Photo: pixabay.com/en/wednesday-day-week-calendar-word-1181170/

this is so funny that this happen to me on Monday.I had an apt.at ten thirty.Got there a bit early and checked in. The young woman says your name is not here. What is your birthdate.Gave it to her.she said tomorrow is your day. Oh!what happen with the leap year and threw me off schedule.March first was my date and it was the 29th.That is the problem. Blame it on leap year.

We now write down every date we need to remember. I have a calendar page with squares on the fridge and all our appointments go on there. It's hopeless otherwise.

@AbbyGreenhill We had two friends who 'assumed' one of our concerts was on a Saturday but it was actually on a Friday so they missed it. Unfortunately they told the four friends coming with them the wrong day so they missed it too!

It could have proven to be rather amusing if you had walked into the salon before remembering.

Then I would have been upset with myself, this way they don't know...just all of you who read this!

I know wht you mean, as the older I get, the more forgetful I become. It really sucks too. I do dumb and silly stuff when I forget things, but in the end I have a good laugh about it, but on the other hand, I keep asking myself, what is wrong with me? I tell myself, it is old age that has creeped up on me.

I've been old for a lot of years already and was pretty happy with my 'good memory'

@AbbyGreenhill It seems the older we get, the more forgetful we become. I am glad i don't wear glasses anymore, as when I did, I would lay them down, and couldn't remember where I put them, and I alsmost needed other glasses to find them.
