Truthfully, I am so done with vegetable salad, my tongue no longer likes it. that's why i stopped eating it, the olive oil just didn't help with the taste either. I had to add pepper, salt, and garlic powder! I've had it. the carrot was really hard to bite
So, yesterday I did something that just came off my head, veggie soup. but not entirely veggie, I bought a 3 sachet of artificial soup that has Drumstick tree flavor plus these vegetables. I even add knorr cubes on it and some magic sarap mix. It was so good that I was able to just eat twice of it and didn't felt any hunger after wards.
This time, I'm adding more veggies since the first one was just a trial for me.

It's nice to try something new recipe especially when you feel your tongue no longer likes the food you prepare, for me, I only prepare simple viggie soup where all ingredients can be found in my garden, like lemon grass, sweet potato leaves, moringa, squash, five fingers, onion leaves, ginger and spinach or kangkong and steam it. Glad that you share this it here, I'll try your recipe if I have more time.

I haven't tried those vegetables you have mentioned @ida123 but right now this one I can afford the ones I've ate before. the flavor might change if the soup has those kind of veggies. good luck and please show it to me

Next time if I cooked veggie soup, this veggie soup is not expensive and in our place, these veggies are available mostly in many gardens here.

Variety is the key. If you eat the same ol' salads, you're going to get sick of it. So make different soups too so you don't get tired of the taste. If you get sick of your bowl of salad, dump it in a pot and turn it into soup!

@Letranknight2015 Soup is indeed different with salad . It is so good on a cold day like this . Well, just use your flavorings sparingly .

Maybe tomorrow I will avoid knorr cubes and magic sarap for the next soup meal, see how will it taste. I've already add lettuce to it, i just had it with salad. I wanted some "soup" and warm as well, with salad you can't heat it. @SIMPLYD but this time I've added more vegetables.

@Letranknight2015 The carrots are too hard to chew, I agree, it's much better to have a soup.

You really don't have to limit your diet to vegetables only when you're on a diet. Just be restrictive of your calorie count. Just saying because it worked for me.

I don't even know how to count it nor i have the device that counts calories @Ladypeace can you tell me to check on my calories? because that seemed to have eluded my search.

@Letranknight2015 Really? Lol, some people get so obsessed counting calories because they count the calories on food their food packagings. Or you can search online for estimates - type in something like "chicken calories", and calories for various quantities will pop up!

If you are not a vegetarian, I think you can buy the chicken bones or pig bones to boil the soup. If you are a strict vegetarian, you can use corn and carrot as a base for the veggie soup.
You can add in dry dates, wolfberries to enhance the taste of the veggie soup.
There is no need to buy the commercial soup if you have time for cooking,

If you just want to eat more vegetables, I think there are plenty ways of having them besides the salad. Moreover, when I make vegetable salad, I don't put a lot of carrots too, as they are too hard to bite, as you said.
We always like to steam or boil the vegetables, and stir-fry them as well. But if you don't want to consume too much oil, steaming and boiling might be better. If you cook a lot of vegetables together, you don't even need to add any seasonings, as they are tasty enough.
Anyway, it's a good try!

A more natural flavoring that is better than Knorr cubes and Magic sarap will be either fresh mushrooms or Sesame oil. Sesame oil can make everything delicious minus all that sodium.
Trivia:
Malunggay's international name now is Morringa, Drumstick is Indian English..
