Today the Education Cabinet Secretary has just released the 2015 form four candidates results which marks entry into university education. And what is worrying is the fact that 5101 candidates results from 305 centers have been cancelled due to irregularities. So I sometimes think that Kenyans candidates cheating in exams is something that has become engrossed into their mind such that they cannot do without cheating.Like for the case of last year's exam, only one county is free of the vice in the entire country.

I maybe need some background knowledge to understand what's going on. Who are those candidates and what are they trying to get accepted to ? What kind of a form did the education cabinet secretary release ? What kind of exam did the candidates do ? Cheating in a test is risky for getting caught but, not just for that. It makes the cheater cheating himself because, there can be challenges he won't be able to cheat again and he won't succeed in them. If one got hired to a job by cheating on a test, he can get tasks he won't be smart enough to do. He will lose his credibility, people can not trust him so much, and he can get fired later.

Normally here in my country,we do have end of year national exaninations that marks the end of the 4-year secondary school education.Passing this examination means joining public university to advance learning in these institutions that are controlled by the government. So thats generally why students cheat to just pass and get a place in one of the public universities.

Cheating is bad for national exam. It degrades the governing body who handles it.

It even affects the quality of education that the students are gonna have because its obvious they are only after passing the exams.

Thats very alarming information. Studies should be conducted on how this single country succeeded in eradicating cheating.

Thats the sad part but there are reports that both parents and teachers are partly to blame for the spread of this vice.

Cheating in national examinations is very rampant here in my country whereby even children in primary schools do it all the time. The same is still done even in universities.

@waflay waah well that is not good. I think the reform should start on the lower years so that it will be instill in their minds that he /she must believe in oneself and must trust his /her capabilities.
