Last time I've told about the soup I cooked but added some vegetables to it because I got tired with eating veggie salad. http://www.mylot.com/post/2898684/making-my-own-veggie-soup But responses came in and warned me that I may have put too much preservatives since the commercial soup already has it in their sachet. Unfortunately, I forgot about it when I started to cook this soup again. But this time I've added more veggies like green onion. Though some of you had mentioned that I don't need the soup, just cooked the veggies and that will be your soup. The ingredients I've added besides the green onions were carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, and bell-pepper. nope no lettuce or even cabbage, maybe I should add them tomorrow instead.

It looks and sounds delicious my friend. I love making soup, all kinds. Sometimes I like to add a bit of fresh ginger.

I have not try that for vegetable soup, but just egg soup. It sounds good, I will give the ginger a try next time, as we have always been drinking ginger tea lately, perhaps my children will also like it.

Next time, just buy a chicken drumstick, and boil it long enough for the soup to have the chicken taste. You can add in the veggies and whatever else you like. You can consider fruits. There are people who boil soup with papaya.

@Letranknight2015 You can also try apple or pear soup. I also just always add any vegetables to my soup, but I have not try okra before.

Your soup noodle looks good! I am not sure if the noodle you cook is instant noodle, I eat that once in a while, as it's really convenient, but I don't let my children eat them, as it's not good for health. For my children, I usually just buy the plain noodles, boil them. I might just add some soy sauce to it for the dried noodles, then also boil some vegetables and add on the noodles. If I want to make the soup, I usually only cook the soup with vegetables, but not adding any other seasonings, as I find the vegetables themselves are already tasty. Since you already have onions, carrots, tomatoes and bell peppers, they produce enough taste, so you don't really need to add other seasonings, which might be better for your health or weight control if you wish. I like to add cabbage when I cook vegetable soup too, as I think it's sweet. If you want, you can also make your own noodles quite easily. Just add the plain flour with eggs, knead it into dough, then make it into the noodle styles. My recipe for the noodle is always 100g of flour with 1 egg. Of course the size of egg does matters, I just adjust the ingredients on my own if I find it's too dry or watery.

@Letranknight2015 If you want to add eggs into the soup, usually what we do is crush the eggs, pour it into the soup while cooking, and use a spoon to stir it, then the eggs will look like "beautiful flowers" that we call. But, if you want to have the hard-boiled egg, then you don't crush it. I actually always see what I have in the fridge and cook what them.

I almost forgot you can actually buy dried noodles, yeah their instant ones. Never thought of adding cabbage but I will try that today. The green onions were just in the fridge i just tried one before it starts to rot. Do you have to crush the eggs when you put it in the soup, just wondering. maybe I shouldn't add those preservatives today and see what happens. thank you for the suggestion.

Is that an instant noodles , wherein you just infused some veggies ? I also do that for a quick pair to a dry dish during a meal.
