Color my world....I need color!

When we bought this house it was like buying two different homes. Outside the home is all brick, a normal looking home. Inside the living room, kitchen, dining area, hallway, master bedroom and bath are all done like a log cabin. The remaining rooms, two guest rooms, guest bath, 1/2 bath, office, sewing room and laundry are normal sheet rock walls. All of the rooms with sheet rock were painted colors in the brown family when we bought the home. All that is except the sewing/laundry rooms and the guest room we use as my husband's TV room. We will be here three years in May and I am tired of looking at the white walls in that room. We aren't good painters...we get more plaint on the floor and on ourselves than on what we are painting. So, with that in mind, I got a recommendation for a painter. He is supposed to show up today to check out the job. The garage is painted brown also and one wall is very messed up so we want to get that painted too. Plus the previous owner put decals in some of the rooms, two I like the rest not so much. I need to find out how to get them off the walls without destroying the walls. The painter is to call today to tell us what time he is coming. He said he will definitely be here today - I guess we'll know later! Photo: AbbyG
