Day 15 – Condemnation Job 15 When was the last time you made it through an entire day without doing something wrong? When was the last time you said all the right words and didn’t hurt anyone with something you said? Only God’s Word is without condemnation, but we are like grass. Isaiah 40:6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: 7 The grass withers, the flower fades: because the spirit of the LORD blows upon it: surely the people is grass. 8 The grass withers, the flower fades: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Eliphaz told Job that his own words condemned him and made him guilty. He was nothing, and filled with iniquity. How many people do you know who are like Eliphaz? Eliphaz condemned everything Job did. According to Eliphaz, Job couldn’t do a single thing right. Some of us go through our entire lives living in the shadow of someone who can do no wrong while we can do no right. Everything we say and do from the moment we’re born is wrong, even how we were born was wrong. Satan has us under his thumb, condemning us and making us feel worthless. However, from first page to last, God’s Word shows us how much he loves us, and to prove it he sent his Son, Jesus, to be our salvation. When we accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, we pass from condemnation to life. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (KJV) We are all sinners and fall short of God’s glory. However, when we confess our sins before God he finds us not guilty and frees us from the law of sin and death. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (KJV) Romans 5:8 But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV) Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (KJV) 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (KJV) If you have come to the place where you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord Satan has no hold over you. There is nothing he can say or do to you that will cause you to lose your salvation, or cause God to stop loving you. Eliphaz would have Job believe he was worthless before God. He condemned every word he said. There is an Eliphaz in your life. Don’t listen to him. Let’s pray: Father, thank you that I am not guilty before you because I accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord. Help me to stop listening to the words of condemnation, and listen to the words of life found in your Son, Jesus. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. I am afraid that I do something wrong every day. Really in all honesty I do several things wrong every day. I am but human.

We all are. Isn't it great all we need to do is confess our sins and God will forgive us?

I love that verse Romans 8:1. When we have confessed our sins, Jesus forgives us, and we do not have to feel condemnation. His grace sets us free.
