Patience vs. Binge Watching?

Tonight my husband announced that he was going down to his "Man Cave" to watch the new 4th season of House of Cards which I believe is a Netflix exclusive series. Wait, he didn't just say that he was going to watch it. He said he was going to BINGE WATCH IT which is a new vocabulary term for this decade which means to watch every single show from start to finish back to back for as long as possible.
Is it just me or wasn't it better when you had to wait from week to week to discover what was going on? You had to learn about self restraint and self control. I love watching a show as it goes on just because it reminds me of how I've grown up as TV shows have.

I'm a binge watcher...I have 0 patience.
House of Cards is a US remake of a UK series of the same name.
I haven't watched the US version yet.

That's a good question. I did manage to watch the first two episodes of House of Cards today. It's going to be quite a season.

Sometimes I miss the good old days of having to wait week to week to watch my favorite episode, but there are also times when I just want to immerse myself in the make-believe world of my favorite shows and just binge watch all day long.
