Today is "no work" day for me

"no work" for today!

I have been busy working on my freelance project for a few days. Since I have got the basic functions done, I told myself it's a "no work" day for me as I want to take a break from my work before working hard again on it tomorrow. Of course, I still do the housework and online work, as these are fun, relaxing and don't have deadline, unlike the project work I mentioned. It's always good to set an off day in a week, and clear my mind from thinking about the work too. Do you set an off day for yourself?

@MGjhaud Yes, you will surely be fine soon. Just take some time to rest and do the therapy. It's good that you are positive about it!

Yes, I totally agree with that. I really need to pause, walk away from my work, clear my mind, then only I'll feel better and can think of the solution easier. Was your leg hurt? Hope it'll be completely well very soon.

That's good. Actually I don't work everyday, as I don't get projects all the time. But when I have projects to work on, I just hardly let it go until it's done. It's always good to have sometime to free ourselves from thinking too much.

Yes! I try to do this as well. Really just for sanitys sake. Once a week or once every other week to set some time aside. Hope you had a good and unproductive day!

I guess it's really good for us to set some time to just rest and "do nothing".

That's good. I guess when we are working in the office, we can officially have days off. For those who are working from home, we need to find a balance ourselves. But as I am a programmer, my work only requires a computer or sometimes Internet, so when I was rushing for projects even when I was working in office, I still worked from home during weekends. It's not good, but we just had to rush to get the work done by the deadline.

@SIMPLYD It can be quite stressful, especially when the deadline is near and we still don't know how to get it work yet. Sometimes, there are just bugs around that we need some time to fix. But it can be quite fun and challenging too!

@arthurchappell Well, I guess I am about the same. I also have very little money as I have quit my office job, and now depending on freelance projects that I don't get always, as I'd like to take care of my children on my own, so I chose to stay at home. It's just that I don't have the state for me to depend on. I believe we can still find the relaxation and comfort even when we live within the budget, with a simple life. This is what I have learned when I have really little money.

Yes, I think the fixed holidays and weekends are really necessary for us to take good rest. But, sometimes some people still choose or have to work on those holidays or weekends.

@yugocean Sometimes it's the responsibility or the urge to complete the work that makes us work extra. Also, sometimes it's the employers who require them to do so.

@kaka135 some people who choose or have to work on those holidays, they are either making money from those efforts, or they are fools for wasting time instead of celebrating with family

I guess sometimes we just do that. I wanted to spend time planning for the homeschooling lessons, but I ended up spending too much time in mylot and surfing as well.

That's good too! I don't specifically set a day as well. As I have young children with me, so I just take the time to work whenever they can play on their own or when they do not need my presence. Time spent with them is my relaxing time, throughout the whole day.

Yes, sometimes I do that as well. Sometimes I took a few days being really lazy when I didn't have the motivation to work. Though I prefer myself to be more productive, sometimes I allow myself to be lazy for awhile too.

Sometimes when we're really busy it is hard to take time for relaxation but it is very important to take a break. You'll work better tomorrow if you take some time off today.

Yes, I totally agree with that! Sometimes it's hard to free our mind, but we just have to learn to do so. I am feeling really good today, tomorrow I will start working hard again, but will also find the balance too.
