You’re probably wondering why I’m writing about this topic. Well there is nothing amazing about making breakfast that is for sure. I mean people do this every day. It’s amazing when you are eight and you cannot reach the top of the stove. At this very young age I decided one morning to surprise my mom and dad with breakfast in bed. So I made an incredible meal with eggs, bacon, toast, coffee and juice. When I brought it to them my dad was delighted however my mom was concerned about how I managed to make the breakfast. Well all moms worry about different things and my dad calmed her down. When she saw that I had to stand on a foot stool to reach the top of the stove she told me never to do that again and certainly not alone. I was lucky I got through that with no harm to myself. Afterwards since I enjoyed cooking my mom let me help her and taught me quite a few things about making food and cooking it in various ways.

You did well to do all that standing on a footstool! Good for you.

What a sweet gesture to prepare the breakfast for your Mom and Dad. My mother used to tell me that she started cooking for her parents when she was only 8 and she used a stall to reach the stove.

It's good that you didn't fall off the stool.

What a sweet story! My 3 year old loves to help make breakfast. Her favorite is what she calls, "panny cakes".
