I Threw that Bear into a Barrel!

Once upon a time I came upon a bear, and picked it up by its legs and threw it into a metal barrel!
Okay, that phrase seems ridiculous, but the event actually happened. Rather than go on a long explanation I just happened to be trying to show my city friend a confined bear in a bear trap that the game commission had on our property to get rid of a troublesome bear (ripping bird cages apart). And the game commissioner had arrived before we got back and had already muscle relaxed the bear and was taking notes about it.
He demonstrated that though the bear was very conscious, it couldn't react, but feel everything. So he grabbed it by its ears and pulled it out of the barrel. He said not to be concerned, they handle them rough so they will reform and stay away from human homes. After a bit he wanted to put the bear back so he asked us to help pick it up and put it back.
My one friend did not help so I grabbed two of the legs and we swung it back, and then threw it back into the barrel. Then he closed it up and went on his way.
And that was the bear in the barrel story.

What? Don't believe my real bear story? I think it was in summer of 2005.

@KristenH I didn't have a camera on me at the time. I didn't even have a cell phone until the next year after that, and no phones with cameras until 2010. Besides, in that area there's still no cell phone reception. I have to use a booster at my home just to be able to use it.

I can understand wanting to reinforce staying away from humans, but I hope that didnt hurt too much

Bears have lots of padding. I'm sure it was okay.

I told the story on bubblews, but I went through all my posts here and I never told it on this site. Perhaps it will entertain some people.
