What is affilate marketing.

I have little bit idea about affiliated marketing but not know totally this concept what is this exaclty.in my knowledge if we promote any link and generates lead and sales we get commision. Is affiliated market is only related generate lead or we can benefit in other terms.

I think it is having the same line of business. It could either be profitable to one company to another with the same business concept.
