I am planning to have a small home business with just a minimum capital. I have searched online but most requires big amount to start up. I am holding a job now and I want to use my spare time doing a simple business. I wonder how and where to start.

Oh, I also wanted to have a sideline business as being an employee in our country cannot sustain our expenditures in life.

Exactly. Even if we have a job here it still cannot sustain the daily needs. That's why it's better to have some extra income.

I think you're off to a good start with selling your pre-loved items. Earns you a bit more money plus you get to declutter the home, too. It's hard to find a business that has minimal capital needed. Although one of these would be online writing gigs. That's what I do to supplement my daily wage.

@moonchild117 Yes, selling pre loved items is great too, though you only got to sell once in a while. You can't really rely on it.

It is not easy at all to find one and more so that will also consume less time

@MGjhaud we have a computer shop but then a lot of my neighbors put up the same business. Result is, all of us suffer from small income.

Problem with my area is that once they saw what business you put up and it's doing well, they start to put up the same also.

We're on the same boat. What I have is an online shop. At least even if I am working, its low maintenance type of business.

Where to start is for you to take time to decide on what to start so that when you do you will be ready for any challenges that come along

Yes, that's correct. I just don't want yo invest on something that won't end up great. But then everything is a risk and we won't know unless we try something.
