Gender parity

As women international day was being celebrated yesterday part of it was to continue striving for gender parity. I was thinking about it the whole day and it made me wish and hope every lady no matter the age can rise up and celebrate.
However on news the other day there was a case of girls being circumcised at 2 years since as teenagers they are running away from it. Tears of pain is all they had not knowing what that will cost them later in life. It really makes me sad.
The other was a case of a primary school which has not taken any girl child to high school for the last 7 years. The 27 girls who sat for their exams last year did not join high school this year because they are all married right now. Six girls in that school are already pregnant. We really have so much to do before we achieve the goal

Here we got those cultures that still do it though the government is doing all it can. The problem is education/information
