I Heard from the Bank

I love it when they do what they say they will, and I was home to get the call which was an iffy thing a few days ago, and if my son had gone to school today, I wouldn't have been here. So anyway, I do not need to send them anything more. Yea! The package is finally complete. Now it's in the hands of the processors and checkers to see what can be done. As much as it would be beneficial for me to leave, I really want to stay. I don't want to move anymore. But this is in God's hands and I will abide, no choice, by whatever decision is made. I know it will be the best one for me. Now if it works the same as last time, I'll get a letter in the mail telling me the Foreclosure is on hold for 30 days while they check things over and make their decision. So my estimate right now if I need to move is the sheriff's sale would take place in August. That's my guess, and that also gives me hopefully enough time to get on a housing list and get another place. One reason I want to stay is that I really do want another dog, and staying here will enable me to do that. I can't guarantee that if I need to move. Also if I move, it would be in senior housing and I really don't want an apartment, a house would be nice and my son would not be able to live with me anymore. So those are some considerations on my plate. I'm trusting God in all this. I'm just glad everything is complete. Now the final wait is on me. Thanks for reading.

I think if you end up having to move you will make peace with it. I forget how old your youngest son is. Is he old enough to be on his own?

@just4him My youngest son is 24 years old and in the service. It might be more peaceful for you to live on your own. I loved the peace when all six of my children left home.

I have known people who had 30 days notice when the sheriff arrived with the notice. They quickly packed up their belongings and moved. Sad to have to lose a home that you love so much. I hope that it all works out for you.

I'm sure those people rented. I've heard of those instances too. If it goes that far, it will be a sheriff's sale of the home. He won't just arrive with a notice to vacate.

@just4him the bank held an auction a few months down the road and sold the house.

@suzzy3 I will miss my neighbor on the corner. They've been good neighbors the 8 years I've been here. Their son was 2 when I moved in. I've watched him grow. I'll miss that.

Glad you finally heard something rom the bank and hopefully it will be good news.If it would take to August that would give you plenty of time to look for some other place to live.

I hope so. We'll see. At any rate I won't be moving until after the sheriff's sale.

After reading what you said to Claudia on her post about moving, it sounded to me like you wanted to move. I can see why you'd rather stay. Will they work with you if you are behind in payments? I don't think I understand what other choices you might have if you were to stay afterall.

@just4him And does that mean it will be easier for you to manage that way? I hope it works out for you then even though your internet won't improve with that option you'd be able to continue to live with your son and get that dog if you decided to still go for it.

@MarshaMusselman It will make it easier. I've already calculated the payment and I can do it and pay all my bills, so that's a plus. Yes, my younger son would still live with me, and I would definitely look at getting another dog. I miss having one around here. Pip was so good, I can only hope the next one will be just as good. I miss her and am still looking for her at times.

They have a modification program, that I've applied for twice now. The first time they denied me outright, but I didn't have any kind of income. They told me to go ahead and apply again because now I'm collecting Social Security so I have an income. If they accept me and allow me to keep my home, the adjustment on the payment will be 31% of my income.

Pray for God's will to be done. With as much work as it needs it will be a blessing either way. I just don't want to move anymore and God knows my heart's desire, but I also know He knows what's best for me.

Not until the bank says I'm moving. I know the house needs a lot of work, but when you've moved as often as I have in my adult life, I'm just ready to be settled.

It can be very interesting to see the path that will unfold before you. Always look for the sunny side your path. It's a journey and we must enjoy the journey at all costs because the destination ends the journey.

That's an interesting way to look at it. God knows my heart and he knows what's best for me. So whichever way it goes will be good.
