The Ghost of old Manila

Philippines

Intramuros is considered probably the first and oldest Manila in the Philippines during the Spanish era. It's said that the city itself has so many ghost in it from the past revolutions to world war II. It's crazy, but I've been in this city for the last eight years when I studied there from highs-chool through college. Yet I've never seen one of these ghost, there are times i go there at night too, but that was seldom. There was a moment in my school days were we use to hang out in those walls looking at the golf terrain and other buildings from afar. Guess i didn't have a third eye or I would have been freaked out or scared every time I got into the city. But this guy was lucky, not only he has third eye, but he caught people there despite that area was empty. When he check the camera they were a lot of people walking dated back the spanish era. some said they are not in peace because even today filipinos are still victims of slavery. It was really interesting to visit these Spanish heritage in our country. However, there is always spooky feeling when it comes to ghost presence. I had experienced before in Vigan. I was sleeping in the old house and all of sudden, my blanket was pulled down without a person doing it.

Must be ghost lady who did that @Shavkat (joke) But we haven't experience something like that before. I remember we booked a hotel room there, but we hardly experience anything paranormal. I missed that city, but when I got there it was over crowded.

This is an interest to me Letran. I am always interested in paranormal. I know it is very old ground there where you are. I am sort of happy you do not see ghosts though. We dont need to see to believe. Why are filipinos still under slavery?

To be honest, It's just probably those people who couldn't find peace or the light or lost because they weren't ready to die. Yeah, I would have been frightened every night since I end up spending the night at school just for research.

indeed, if you don't have the third eye or peripheral vision, you won't be able to see the supernatural.

@ridingbet I don't think i wanted a third eye opened, if you can see ghost, then you can see demons and dark entities. would have been nice to see angels in the third eye.

@Letranknight2015 try not to discover that again, hijo because having the 3rd eye is both a gift and a curse

Ghost may like some people and they don't like other. That's why not everybody can see them and if you cannot see them then you are lucky enough. According to me the people who are brave, courageous cannot see ghost.

Nope, I don't agree with that, those who can "see" them and just shrug it off are the brave. it would have taken me a while, but i would get scared crap if i get to see one.

I studied at the Lyceum of the Philippines in Intramuros for 4 years and even worked for a year in a company in the same place but never did i encounter ghost. Maybe ghosts are afraid of me.

Nope you just don't see them there, Lycium is one of the oldest universities in the country. There's no way you couldn't experience any paranormal there @salonga I had eight years there and as much as scary as it looked, i never saw ghost, glad i didn't.

If there are ghosts there it would probably be from WWII because the Japanese massacred a lot of the residents of "Intramuros" including Spanish and Spanish Mestizos and Filipinos. Intramuros during the Spanish time was a progressive walled city within a city, that is if you believe that traumatic events would cause more hauntings

Hello @louievill well the attire seems to have been from the spanish era, I think clothing in the 1940s have changed too from that time. And I think even people were killed during the spanish era, there was torture, war and rape. well, some who are sensitive says they were more traumatic events there.

Who enslaves the Filipinos today?

I could tell a lot of different experience most Filipinos experience today, but it is mostly due to ignorance, deception and betrayal that led them to slavery. @TheHorse
