While I was at my friend's house earlier today, a very strange thing happened! One of her cats came over to me for some petting. We've become good friends over the years. So that wasn't the strange part. However, I had my small, black purse on the table. The purse was just slightly smaller than this cat. So, imagine my surprise when she straddled my purse and then sat on it, as if to hatch an egg! And then she began kneading it and licking it and rubbing her head all over it as if completely in love! I called my girlfriend into the room to see what her cat was doing and we immediately began taking pictures! My friend said this cat has never done anything like that before! Silly cat!

It was so entertaining! Once I alerted the household to what was going on, we were completely enthralled watching her. lol

@CRK109 It's natural for dogs to jump. I know they can be trained not to. I'm allergic to cats and hoping to have another dog soon. I had to put mine down in January. One of the hardest things I've ever done. Now I have two pets who crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

That's why I like them so much. My friend also got a new puppy. Much as I love puppies and dogs, that one was constantly jumping on me and practically destroyed my clothes. I had more fun with the cat!

Absolutely! In all the years I've known this cat, I've never seen anything like it. And maybe I never brought that particular purse with me before, I don't know. But I'm going back on Monday so we'll see if this act gets revisited! lol

I've had cats all of my life and they never get boring. Their independence and yes, their curiosity, makes them very entertaining!

@CRK109 Nice pic of your cat. Just a question here, does it matter if its a male cat or female cat? Does it affects how they behave, I mean are female cats more on gentle side and male cat could be very aggressive sorts? Which cat would you prefer?
