This is the finest piece of Literature in the Arabic language with chapters called as Suras and Ayahs is known to have revealed by God to Mohammad through Gabriel over a period of nearly 23 years. The Word Quran appears 70 times in the holy Quran. There are several followers of Mohammad who served as scribes and made their contribution in writing down the revelations. There are also many who believe that it is the work of Mohammad himself, but which is hard to believe as Mohammad had no education at any time. Even if it is agreed that he had some education it would be highly impossible to produce such a classic text even by literary giants in Arabic. A person who memorized the entire Quran is called HAFIZ. The extrapolation of a particular verse in Quran is done with the help of Tafsir. The actual meaning of the word Quran means ‘recited’. Who recited it? Has Mohammad recited it? How and Why? Can a person not having education can recite it? Even if recited, such a classic literary work? Undoubtedly, ‘No’. The only alternative left to believe is ‘GOD’. It is the revelation of GOD to Mohammad which can irrevocably acceptable. Actually, the Quran was recorded on Tablets, Bones, and date palm fronds. A group of scribes namely Zyad collected the verses and produced a hand-written manuscript which remained with Abu Bakr. The written form of Quran came out only 20 years after the death of Mohammad. Though a theological debate was taken up in the 9th Century as to whether it is a creative or otherwise, it is undoubtedly the holy work of Divine only as it is not possible for a human to produce a book like the Quran. One of the most interesting fact with Quran is that it is never decorated with any figurative images but only with decorative patterns in the margins of the page, or between the lines. It is highly inimitable and no human speech can match the Quran in its content. It has got inner meanings, scientific information that is far superior to modern science. With 114 Chapters of varying lengths, known by the name Sura and classified as Meccan and Medinan, the Quran‘s each Sura contains the word ‘Bismillah’ (in the name of God) except the Ninth one. Each Sura consists of several verses. There are around 750 verses in Quran dealing with natural phenomenon and in many of them the study of nature has been high- lightened. The central theme of the holy Quran is MONOTHEISM. The holy Quran discusses what will happen at the end of time and how resurrection will take place. It also emphasizes that it is only at His will one will die and it is only with His will one will come alive in a bodily resurrection. All literary giants have miserably failed earlier to translate the Holy Quran and it is only in the 10 and 12th Centuries the fully attested complete translations were made in Persian and as per 18th International Quran Exhibition in Tehran it was presented in 112 languages.
