2014 - Spoiler alerts
Yet another Liam Neeson action movie role, with an interesting premise but increasingly ludicrous delivery and a final conclusion that is utterly stupid.
Neeson is an Air Marshall travelling on US flights as a security measure against terrorists. He is only just returning to work after a long suspension for alcohol abuse.
Mid-flight, he receives an anonymous text demanding that he arranges for $150 million to be transferred to a specific bank account – The message is sent by someone threatening to kill someone on the plane every twenty minutes until Neeson complies.
With help from a sexy lady passenger and the stewardess, Neeson pins the message down to the other flight Marshall and ends up killing him in the toilets at exactly the time the killer said someone will die. Though thinking the matter solved more texts come in, and the pilot is the next to die, and Neeson finds there is also a bomb on the plane.
His search tactics and the fact that the money is to be moved to his own account makes many on board think he is the terrorist himself so he finds himself attacked by other passengers as well as the machinations of the real killer-hijackers.
The motive proves to be revenge on the US aviation services for failing to prevent 9/11 by effectively blowing up another plane, but our hero saves everyone by placing the diffusion free bomb at the back of the plane so it only blows off the tail wings close to landing which in itself tears the plane apart but doesn’t hurt anyone.
A ridiculous rehash of Die Hard and other action movies with a preposterous motive that tries desperately to be relevant to the World Politics. Neeson acts well, oblivious that the film isn’t really worth the effort.
Though it’s called Non-Stop, I found myself really wishing it would.

I saw this one. Not one of Neeson's better action films. That was Michele Dockery from Downton Abbey playing the flight attendant.

@arthurchappell i agree. also, it would, i guess, be nicer if Julianne Moore did some more action instead of just sitting there the whole time.

I like Liam Neeson -- though this one sounds a little tedious
