March Madness Insomnia

The good news is, after the first night of NCAA basketball tournament games, I am in first place in our office tournament pool. Out of 28 participants, I currently sit one point ahead of the competition. Which means absolutely nothing this early in the tournament!
The bad news is, now that March Madness has begun, my life will revolve around the games for the next several weeks. I will be up late into the night watching games. Productivity at work will diminish (and not just by me, but by everyone).
I saw a couple of hilarious commercials on TV last night promoting March Madness. They were for Buffalo Wild Wings, and the tagline was "Don't worry, they'll be home in April," referring to fans of March Madness being completely wrapped up in the tournament until it concludes April 4th.
Are you into March Madness? Did you fill out a bracket sheet?

Good for you! Easter is much more important than basketball!

@moffittjc I usually prepare the Easter lunch for the family and they come to our home. I want to put on some spring decorations.

@LadyDuck Sounds like a wonderful time! I hope you enjoy the family time this Easter.
Easter for us is next Sunday, 27th of March. Is it the same day for you? Some denominations, and some cultures, celebrate religious holidays on different days.

I remember when I worked at our local high school, so many teachers and staff members were all hyped up over March Madness. They had a pool going and tried to talk me into participating in it several times. Knowing nothing about the game I didn't join.
They appeared to be enjoying following the games. The atmosphere in the teacher/staff lounge was buzzing.

Ah man, it's a super good time participating in March Madness. Today, Friday, will be a heck of a day for games.

For the next couple of weeks, mens college basketball takes over the airwaves on TV, cuts productivity at work, and causes stress in relationships! lol

I have noticed some basketball on one station here but really not interested in watching it, yeah that would be a stressor in some relationship.

@Marcyaz The games are being televised on four different networks: CBS, TNT, TBS, and Tru TV. I don't get the Tru TV network where I live, but thankfully they only show the least popular games on that network. All the biggest/most popular games will end up being televised on CBS.

I am not into March Madness. I am not into sports of any sort.

Sports is definitely not for everyone! I don't even really care about watching the games that much, I just enjoy the friendly competition at work between everyone who filled out tournament brackets to predict the eventual nation champion!

All I know is Providence edges USC by a point. Good grief, that's the end of March Madness for Southern California.

@Cintronwriter It was a dismal year for the PAC-12. You know its bad when UCLA has a losing year.

@JohnRoberts, true. UCLA was really good when Ben Howland was there. Who's there now, Steve Alford?

Right? I read the scoreboard later in the day and say that SC lost. What the F! What's going on with the PAC-12, even Arizona lost.

I love this time of year but I don't fill out a bracket. I can't remember when is the last time I completed a bracket. Which region do you think will take it all?

I am pulling for Kansas to win the whole thing. My favorite part of March Madness is rooting for the underdogs and seeing all the upsets.

@Cintronwriter I'm currently sitting in second place among the 30 people in our office pool. I am still pretty confident that I can win it, as the person ahead of me picked Notre Dame to win the whole thing. I mean it's completely possible, but I think I have better odds with Kansas.

@moffittjc nice pick. You can say the first week of the 2016 NCAA tournament was madness. Lol.
