Poor man fertilizer (snow)

Good morning and Happy Monday.The start of holy week.
We yes we got some snow a few inches or more.
As you can see in the photo on my way for my game at the club.
The weather is warming up some and snow starting to melt.
They always call this poor man fertilizer for our garden and lawn.
The photo is mine as this is my second home away from my first.
Did you get snow in your area?

I am cold just looking at the photo. This is LA so there is never snow. Just sunshine most of the time.

I pray we don`t! All the fruit tree`s are in full bloom, I have to check them out today because it got cold last night.

I've never heard snow being called fertilizer...it's just water.

@amadeo I've never heard it and I loved in the north most of my life. Maybe a New England saying.

Oh, I would love to have a bit of snow like this. It's about four years since we had a decent amount, more than just a few feeble flurries.

I've never heard snow called this but we don't have snow so I guess it's not surprising.
