Colorful Containers

I saw the prettiest display of flower containers at the Flower Shop last week and got some great ideas for my own display on my porch for Spring.
The display was metal teapots, painted in bright yellow, blue, orange and red. So, I went to a couple Thrift Stores and found some old metal tea pots and other containers, that I could spray paint. I haven’t done that yet, but I will get it done soon. I will have to purchase the spray paint too and wait for a nice day to paint them outside.
And I still need to get some potting soil. It’s supposed to warm up today and be much warmer the rest of the week. The flower shop is getting used to seeing me. I have a friend who works there.
What do you have planned for Spring planting? Do you have a flower garden or potted outdoor plants?
The photo here is from Pixabay, but it gave me more container ideas. Small tubs like this could work well as containers, but I would also paint them in bright colors. What do you think?

That's interesting. It must be a heavy planter that someone couldn't just carry away with your bike???
Wildflowers are on my list too. California poppies sound nice.

I used to grow African violets when I lived in North Carolina and then I gave them all away when I moved, because I didn't want to have to move them. I will have to put a picture up on Mylot that I have of them. I, at least, have a picture of them. They were so beautiful.
I have a couple beanie babies. I see them all the time at the Thrift Stores I go to and they are brand new sometimes, still in the original packaging. Are there any beanie babies you are particularly looking for? I might be able to find them for you.
It's nice to have a collection of something to keep you busy.

I heard a neat tip on TV. Rustoleum makes a special paint that you can use on your planter if you live in a sunny area. The paint stores up energy from the sun and then glows all night. I am sure that other companies might have the same type of paint. I have not tried it but thinking about it.

Yes, I have definitely heard of the Rustoleum paint that glows. I even have it on my list to buy. I think I will have to go o Home Depot to get it or Lowes. Thanks for reminding me.

Yes, I've heard of the Rustoleum paint that glows in the dark. I actually have it on my list of things to buy. I will have to go to Home Depot or Lowes to get it.

No, they are not locked away that I know of. I haven't bought any spray paint lately though. I'm sure that is probably a good idea.

No, they don't lock the spray paint away that I know of, but I haven't purchased any in a long while. It sounds like a good idea though, to keep it from vandals.

Sometimes basic items are better suited for a task than specially made items.

Yes, I love shopping at the Thrift Stores and repurposing things for another use. I used to subscribe to a gardening magazine and got a lot of ideas there, but I cancelled all my magazine subscriptions several years ago

I kind of liked the battered tin container. You have to wonder just how many summers it has seen? I really like the idea of the old tea pots too!

Yes, planting seeds and watching the grow on my kitchen window sill is where it starts. I got the potting soil today when I went to Target to get more photos done.
