Are you a forgiving person?

Well I've come to the conclusion that when my brother says "I don't like confrontation", what he's really saying is "I don't want to talk about it, and I'm not forgiving"...sigh. It's sad and it hurts, but I'll get through it, one way or another. All this over a little misunderstanding, that could have been straighten out with one phone call. Are you a forgiving person?

I do forgive easily, some people say too easy but I just can't help it. I don't like when people are angry or upset with me, I like being a peace keeper.

I used to be like that, but I think with time I've gotten harder.

It depends by the attitude of the other person. I can forgive very easy, if I see the right attitude.

@lilnana1111 , I did not used to be, but as I got older, I mellowed. Unless someone hurts me very badly, I am willing to forgive and let go.

I take a view we can agree to disagree and that is what your brother tells you. I make it clear I have no ill feelings too - siva

I would be happy to agree to disagree, but I can't do that if he won't even talk to me.

@Shiva49 After 4 calls and 3 e-mails, I'm done trying, it's out of my hand and up to him now. I can't nor do I want to beg him to be my brother. I have to go on with my life, whatever happens, happens.

@lilnana1111 I think you should just carry on but give a hint that you expect some response to settle the issue. I stopped being sensitive as some manipulate emotionally - siva

i am i noticed. if there are misunderstandings between me and a family member or a friend, i tend to forgive so i could move on. sometimes i prefer not talking about it and turn my attention to something else and eventually time heals and reconcile what was broken. i hate confrontation cause i easily fall into pieces..

I don't like confrontation either, but sometimes we have to do, what we have to do, cause it's the right thing to do.

Jesus Christ said that we should forgive people seventy times seven times, and that means to me that is that there is no time that we shouldn't forgive them, wouldn't that be that right? Then Peter came and said to Him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” This quote is from Matthew chapter 22, verses 21 & 22, in the Christian bible. Forgiveness to me is an aspect of love then, and this means to me that you stop loving someone fully, when you are not being totally forgiving to them. God forgives you for everything without you even asking him too. You always have another chance with God. He totally always loves you too.
