I Think That I Need a New Ipod

The one that I'm using is really old and I don't even recognize anything when I go over to iTunes. I wonder if Apple does that to lure you into buying a new one. I have to admit, that mine has lasted a long time and I had heard that they only last so many hours and they go go to sleep... never to wake up again?? Not sure if this is true, or if I have just given mine enough rest between uses? I don't even know what the latest iPod is but I'm sure that it isn't the one I have!!

They are ridiculously expensive aren't they!! I don't know how so many people can afford them these days... especially teens!

I have seriously never owned a iPod! So I have not a clue how long they are supposed to last. @Hate2Iron I hope someone more tech savvy than I am can let you know. :)
