How much data do you get with your smart phone?

Every company I know brags of "unlimited data" in partbof their plans. But its a scam I tell you! Truly, you get 4G data for a certain amount of GBS and then after you pass that....your data is reduced to 3g or maybe even slower. For me, when I run put of the 4G data my internet on my Android literally just about comes to a halt. I can forget about GPS, Pandora, and any website that is more complicated than Google. Argh! This is frustrating for me. Because since my internet at home as been not working, I only access it on my phone. And I am almost capped out for the month! Luckily I only pay $35 for talk text and "unlimitrd" data. How about you? What are your experiences with this? Do you ever cap out on your 4G internet speed? Does the speed drop dramatically like mine? Rant over. For now!

Have the same thing with my phone. They will slow it down despite the fact thatbi has a supersurf. :(

Yes! Mine too - it drives me crazy! By the way what is a supersurf? And do you know how many gigs you get of 4G data?

Most companies have strayed away from saying that data is unlimited. You're right though, its a scam BUT at the same time its not. You have a cap on 4G data (unless you actually pay for more) and the speed throttles down after that. However, you still have access which with some of the others once you have hit th e cap you're just done. We have a cap of 2GB of super fast 4G speed then it throttles down. On some sites I don't notice a difference but with others it is pretty dramatic. Lucky I can still stream music even if I have gone over my cap, which is good for me.

I use verizon and it's my sister and I on the plan. Unlimited talk, text and i get 12gb of data. I pay 179 a month for all that. I'm sure there's cheaper plans but this is what works for us.
