Getting Direction

Proverbs 3:5-6 has always been a favourite scripture of mine: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths."
For the past month or so, I have been seeking direction about my writing. My friend has been encouraging me to do something about it. A couple of weeks ago, I felt led to jot down my feelings about it, and then just trust the Lord to show me the way He wanted me to go.
In my quiet time this morning, it all just opened up to me how I should proceed, and I quickly made a lot of notes. I know it is going to take time to develop this, but I feel that now I am on the right track. It will be interesting to see how this works out, but I am excited about it.
I am so glad that when we put everything in the hands of the Lord, He reveals His will to us and shows us the way to go.

@AnneEJ I feel so very blessed to have you as a friend. I feel that I've learned so much from you thru your writings. I'm sure that you can accomplish your goal, and I look forward to the discussion that you launch telling us that you've done just that!

Writing on here is practice for me, so I will continue to do so. When I was out walking today, I thought of a lot more ideas for what I want to do. I just have to keep convincing myself that what I want to do is possible, and spend some time on it every day. I appreciate your comments and am glad I have you as a friend.

I tend to encourage ppl to have a prayer journal, and write out their feelings-in particular with giftings or ministry-it serves a variaty of purposes. One thing is, it gives a record of one's thoughts and insights over time, another is it helps us articulate thought over time. Another thing I tend to remind ppl of is that things take time, and even some of the prophets did not recieve immediate direction-when I was young I learnt to put God's work in God's hands for His timing, and the truth is, this side of eternity, we will not always see or understand the full impact of that, but we don't need to, what we really need to be is obediant to His call. The Lord bless you in this aspect of your life, and the Lord's blessing be with you and those you care for.

Thank you for your kind words. I have always been able to rely on the Lord to lead me and have been very active in working for Him through the years. Just wanting to branch out in a different direction, and feel this is His will at this time.
