My aunt always mails a significant amount of money to her other niece and gift certificates for her children. The niece never sends back a thank you card or acknowledges the gifts through email, letter or phone. She's asking my advice because we are somewhat close but I'm not certain what to tell her. What do you think mylotters?

Your Aunt has every right to question this if that is what you mean Vjval. I know she is a good hearted woman, so she probably feels very hurt because of this. The niece seems to have no decency. Is there anyone that could speak with the niece regarding this? Or perhaps Aunt could send a nice thank you card to the niece saying thanks for nothing.

It's very rude for the niece not to express gratitude. Should give your aunt pause to continue her generosity.
