Also known as Xfinity? I currently have USI Wireless but probably not for long. Ive been going through techs like crazy to try to get a signal but I think I am out of luck. I have one more appointment this Saturday and if what they try doesnt work...Im done! And moving on to a different internet company. Comcast offers services in our area whih apparently seems like a black out zone - which is crazy because Im in the city. Anyway, I am looking for the good, the bad and the ugly. Have you had any experience with Comcast Internet? How much do you pay and for what type of service? Would you suggest it?

I used to work for customer service for this company. Research the promo that they offer to you, all of the fees, and the costs as they will rise over the months. That seems to be their strong-suit. Good luck!

Haha I have heard that. When the promos run out the price spikes exponentially. I have seen some good promos that last the length of the contract but I am going to call and see what the bottom line is for installation and modem rental....IVe been pjtting it off because I truly do not want to know! Lol

@maezee Sadly a lot of the promos are at the discretion of the person placing the order. Normally installs were 99, but there was always a promo to lower that to 49, but it was at our discretion. And even as soon as 6 months later you will see your prices spike. I cannot remember what the modem purchase price was. Inquire on the cost of tech support if they have to come out to the home.

Hey thats super cheap. Is it wifi only? Or is there cable or satellite? Wish we had companies loke that over here.

I have had Comcast forever and find it reliable and customer service is helpful. It is expensive however but that is a fact of life. High speed is high speed. Watch the date when your rate ends and renegotiate or sometimes upgrade for cheaper. I have a bundle and pay about $160 a month for phone, Internet and about 200 channels.

You are so right. It seems to be the only ptovider I can find that will offer us high speed in this area. I think $160 for all that is a good deal. However..I have heard Comcast basically forces you to bundle. Do you think thats true?

@maezee Lets put it this way, you don't save any money by not having the phone, that is why we have the phone.

We don't have Comcast in our state. We do have Cox Cable, and I used them and they were okay. then we got Verizon Fios and I was much happier. So, as long as I can afford them, I'm sticking with them!
