Barn Hunt is an exciting new dog sport that will allow dogs to show off their hunting skills. Any breed of dog can participate as long as they can fit through an 18 inch wide tunnel that is as high as a bale of hay. Barn Hunt is a sport that is AKC and UKC recognized and can be done in your barn, backyard or storage area. It looks as if there are seven levels from easiest to hardest. There is a time limit for your dog to find the correct number of rats that are hidden in the tubes and they must ignore the other tubes. No, they do not hurt the rats, some of the rats are pets to someone. Bring on your dogs for the Barn Hunt

I would prob need to have bigger tunnels, but I have wanted to get my pup into something like that, or the agility training, anything to help him focus and burn energy

@Marcyaz yeah I have a couple of times, money has been an issue. I know we need to start with socialization and basic obedience.

I don't think Ally would enjoy this kind of hunt, she'd rather run as if in a race.

Our dog would be so useless in that lol He would just run around, wagging his tail and smiling. He doesn't know any tricks or obeys anything.

I am glad that they do not hurt the rats, but I wonder how scared the rats can be.
