A Place I Remember Fondly

When I was a child I remember going to Port Clinton, Ohio and staying in a cabin there near Lake Erie.
I also remember nearby Camp Perry. I remember in Camp Perry there were some strange looking buildings, I was told they were used to house POW's German and Italian.
I thought nothing of this at the time but later on I wondered why in such a small place they would house them there.
In Port Clinton we met some really nice people and we went to Sandusky, Ohio also though I don't remember much about that.
It was an enjoyable time when some relatives came and spent some time there with us.

Sounds like a great place for kids. Building to check out and water. What more can you ask for?

It was a nice place by the lake and seeing some different things and that particular building. It was a nice summer time there.

They are lovely memories and I loved being so close to the lake, we didn't see these relatives often so it was nice to visit with them, I know I was enchanted with the POW camp.

I'd give anything for a place like that. trouble is I can't swim 
if my boat tumbles or if there's alligators or crocodiles on the loose.

Oh no you can't swim, you will just have to learn then. No alligators or crocodiles on that lake just some fish.
