Etsy Browsing for a Little Girl

My niece will be ten in May. I want to get her some nice smelling lotions and soaps, maybe even a bath fizzy or two. Since her Birthday is in the spring, I thought that I might buy an easter basket and some cellophane wrap to put all of her goodies in. I am not sure that I will go the easter basket route but it is an idea.
I had a family member who isn't really familiar with etsy ask me why I was looking so early. Right now I am just looking but I had to explain that a lot of the shops do by the order making of the product.
I also want to have a good look around and get in touch with a seller if need be, for customization. I might do a lip balm or two with a custom label for my niece as well.
At Christmas I shopped one etsy for her. I bought a lotion that smells like cinnamon bun and a soap that had a dollar bill in it. She (my niece) told me recently that it only took her a couple of weeks to get the dollar bill out of the soap! haha!
Oh and that family member not familiar with etsy? Her Birthday is only a few days after my nieces, so I'll be looking for something for her as well.
What else (not toy related) might you buy a little girl?

I would buy her a glitter globe.
I always loved those as a child and they fascinated me.
I dunno thats just me.

They are very pretty. I might consider it but I am not sure how much she'd like it. I think she's been stuck in technology for several years now. I am just happy NOT to buy her something tech related. She's also started puberty.
I thought about deodorant and shaving soap but am not sure on either of those. The deodorant? She's already started using the commercialized stuff that clogs your pores. If I buy her the non aluminium deodorants that etsy seller's sell? I hope it would work for her as she shouldn't have been using it enough for it to clog her pores. You have to detox from commercial brands and that is a very stinky process.

@TiarasOceanView At ten I was happy to get a hula hoop and jump rope!
Things that cost maybe $10.00! Now it's "oh I want this $100.00 tablet!"

I've asked her what scents she'd like. She seems to be all about the confectionary smells. I've picked out a few I'll probably get her. I intend to spoil her.

She doesn't wear her hair up very often at all. I could probably count the number of times she's had her hair up. Though you have made me think of shampoo and conditioner!

Depends on what she is into. Some little girls collect things. Horses, fancy dolls, etc.

THis little girl does not do much of that. Her nose is in the tablet all day though she has started to play cards more, of which I am very much glad. I want to stick with relatively the same theme whilst shopping for her Bday.

Do girls like cute notebooks and pens? I know I do. But to save money - you can wait until Easter's over and get a basket for cheaper. You can buy a universal basket and put all her gifts in a birthday gift basket style.

I never thought about that. But you have a point bunnies do look like play boy symbols hehe.

@infatuatedbby Especially these. If I can think of it, I'll take a picture of them basket tonight and upload it here tomorrow. Most easter related bunnies have distinguishable legs and arms, not these.

I planned to wait until after Easter to get the basket. We have some cute ones at work that aren't like the old style baskets. THese baskets, however, have a bunny that make me think of the playboy symbol.

A friend of mine makes indie nail polishes. She's got some really awesome collections, but I don't think she's selling on Etsy anymore. I've bought some of her products for myself, and several of the minis she does for my kindergartner. She just loves the glitter and sparklies in some of them.

Nail polishes is okay but I don't think she really does her nails. Maybe it's something she'd be interested in but I'd have to ask her or her mama. I've seen some indie nail polishes on etsy.

My granddaughters when younger used to love painting their nails and putting stickers on them.

I don't think my niece is much for that either. She might be when she gets a little older though. I might ask her if she'd like that though.
