I Have Hope

I said I was waiting for the phone call from the new bank who has my loan. I got it yesterday. Sorry I didn't let you all know before now. The news is good. I almost hung up on him. I have this tendency that as soon as I hear anything that sounds like a telemarketing call, I say not interested and hang up. The guy said he was with a loan company. I said no thanks, and had the phone half way to the phone cradle when I heard him say, wait, I have your loan, I'm not selling you anything. So off to a shaky start, but it went up from there. Talking to him was nothing like talking to the lady I had been dealing with for the past year. This guy actually instilled hope in me that I could save the house and will not need to move. He gave me four options. We'll be deciding on the best. He told me there is help for me in my state - some kind of state aid for people facing foreclosures - good news. Plus a couple other options. He also said I need to start saving money for a down payment. That alone gave me hope that all is not lost, not when he's telling me I could be making a payment soon that will help to keep my home. He just needs to let me know the amount. I did question him about the documents I was told I needed to send him yet. He looked at my file and said he has EVERYTHING. He also said that it is in the hands of the guys who go over those docs with a fine toothed comb and if I do need to send him anything more he will FedEx me the info so I can send it back to him. He is much more cooperative than the bank was, and as I said, I'm feeling hopeful. I also am not going to wait very long. He told me he'll be busy the last week of the month, but I should hear from him the first week in April. It was a very positive call and I almost hung up with him at the beginning. I'm feeling good about keeping my home for the first time in a very long time. So that's my good news. Do you have good news to share? Thanks for reading.
