Watching the stock market movement

I seldom have the luxury to watch the stock market movement. When you have to work, you hardly have the time to watch the price changes in the stock market. That is why I always set the buying price or selling price at night. When I have time to stay home for a day, I like to watch the stock market movement for the first half an hour. That is the most exciting part. Many traders like to buy in the morning, and sell in the afternoon. It does not always make money in this way. In fact, the traders are trading mainly for the thrill. They just cannot stand by and do nothing when the market is in full swing. Image credit to shutterstock.com

I agree with you that it is not easy to watch the stock market movement when you are at work. Sometimes people will watch it for a while from their smartphone. And some of them will set an alarm notice. When the stock price goes to a certain price, then they will have an alarm. But if you are a long term investor, you don't have to watch the live stock market movement.

@scheng1 Since here you can make a call, use the computer or even use the smartphone to buy and sell the stocks. So it is still convenient for you to do so. And sometimes people will watch it briefly in the lunch break.

I, for one, do not watch the stock market movement in office. I like to think about the price I want to pay when I am at home, and when the stock market is not opened. i can compute the rate of return, and set the price. If I get it, that is good. If not, I just have to wait patiently for the price to come down.

You need knowledge that you can learn from reading books and joining those forums where experienced investors are willing to share.

He is not likely to keep his money in this case, He will be tempted to trade in and out, and he is lucky to break even.
