Define yourself in one word

If ever someone will ask me to define myself in one word, I will tell them the word "Dreamer."
I had been a dreamer since I was young. I dreamt of having a good life, of having my own degree, of enjoying the company of my own family while travelling from around the world. My elder sister and brother were lucky when they were young and they were able to study in a private institution when they were in high school. But when it was my time to study in secondary, we did not have much. My mom was worried that I would sulk if I will not go in a private school for my secondary level. She told me I can study in private school but they might not be able to send me to college. So what I replied to my mom was that, I don't care if I study in public school, all I want is to finish my study up to college. So I never been a student in private, Even in college and up to taking up my Masters, I studied under a government institution.
My other dream was to travel and it was realized too. Money did not become a hindrance because I saved a lot. This quote is real "When you decide for something, the universe conspires to make it happen." When my friends learned that I wanted to travel, they helped me to achieve my dream. One friend told me that he will help me with my passport. Another friend bought me a luggage bag. I was very overwhelmed with what happened that all I need to do is fly. No more worries about money. I dream of going one country a year since I cannot spend all my money in my dream of travel.

I am not a very sociable person. I just have very few friends and I tell them all my hearts desires. My friends are dreamers too like me. How about you?

I understand now why your username has the word "weird" on it. It is the same here. When people don't talk others think they are very mysterious. While others make that a laughing matter. Well, it is none of their business anyway. Haha

A strong woman is admirable. Strong is also synonymous to the word "independent." I hope to achieve such good characteristic too.

@mammots Thanks. Actually I am not really that strong. I was a coward. If not because of God's guidance and His angels directions I would not have my dreams. I consider my friends as my angels who lift my own wings when I cannot fly.

@annierose I am no longer a Dreamer, I am in my late fifties and at this point, I think I have already achieved all my dreams in life. If I would define myself in one word, I would say I am Contented.

@salonga I am happy for you. When I reach your age, I would like to have a similar response as you. I want to look back at my life with a smile in my face and in my heart. I want to live with peace with myself and with other people. No grudges even a bit.

It is true. As long as we want something, we will find too many ways to achieve it no matter how impossible it seems at first. How about you?

Being a dreamer served you well and what you've been through served as a great motivation to be a success.

@annierose Not sure if i consider myself a dreamer. But if there's one word to describe me, it would be authentic.

@toniganzon I understand how it is to be authentic. When you are an authentic person, then you are a happy person. You do not compete with anyone else because you know your worth. You know you are unique and that makes you satisfied in life too. :)

In one word I guess I would choose "foodie"! I love cooking, baking, planning parties, of course with food! When I cook it shows love to the people who I serve!

Oh, that is my weakness. I tried to cook, unfortunately after I did it, we were not able to eat the food I cooked. So my parents tell me they are afraid my future husband will die holding a pot, or casserole.

@Margielynn Thank you so much Margielyn. I really would like to cook but there are some foods I do not like to cook because of the cooking oil. It is difficult for me all foods that needs oil to be cooked such as fried eggs, fried fish, fried chicken.

Hi Shubu!
I have a classmate and friend that is altruistic too. No wonder she is loved and admired by many. She gives her ideas and suggestions whenever we need it. She is good in numbers and I can say I am lucky because I survived Statistics with her help.

@gofsey I am in the middle of two girls in the family. However, many people mistaken me as the youngest because of my small built in feature. I hope someday to visit those countries.

Thanks Vivian! I love adventure but if you will see me personally you won't think I am that type. I am shy and very simple. I have a slim body too and you might think I am not that healthy to do all those things that I want to do in my life.

@annierose The youngest in the family is always the luckiest. You have to strike out for places like America or Europe. There are plenty of opportunities there.

I have a colleague who always remind the kids to use common sense whenever they solve a problem. Sometimes all we need is just a common sense. I also remember a Panchatantra story that says knowledge is nothing without a common sense.

I am finding it difficult to look for a single word that will define me the most. I think "strong" is the word to best describe who i am.

i guess only when you know me..
