Have even just one turn on, whether we are around or not.
One of the things we do is to have even just one light bulb on--CFL. Whether we are around or not.
It is like giving some light to the house, "pretending" that there is someone inside, keeping burglars to stay out and, to give light to those whore roam around our house--the unseen one.
Do you do the same thing too?

Yes, at night. When we go out, we usually leave a light on.

@Lucky15 yes, and sometimes, if we go out just for a while, we also leave the television switched on.

My parents did that since we were young, but I don't do that to my house now.
I understand the concern, but we just think we don't need to do that with our house now. My house is very near to the guard house, there's a lamp post just in front of my house, and both of my next door neighbors turn on their light in the yard every night whether they are at home or not, my neighbors who are staying opposite are always in the front yard,.... it seems like it's quite safe for us here. Moreover, we are always at home.

yes, a light at the back door ison the whole night. Our altar has those 2 candles but electrical. We nowswitch off all light so our dogs will sleep and not be noisy.

Yes, rotate the lights that you leave turned on cause some thieves observe a house for a long time before they strike so you have to confuse them, we no longer use CFL only LED bulbs it's more energy efficient. The unseen ones prefer darkness
, light would scare them away

I think it's a great practice to leave a light on when you're not home for security. It's also nice not to come home to a dark house, if you arrive in the evening.
