Do you enjoy taking photos? / myLot

Whether you like taking pictures for fun, started a new hobby or have been doing it a long time I'm always looking to learn more when it comes to photography. I started out just taking pictures at family gatherings, then when I was going on my walks. About five years ago, I connected online with a couple professionals and I got hooked. We're still connected today and one of them send me a copy of their published photography books. What tips and tricks have you learned along the way? Have you met any interesting people through photography? Here's a photo of the clouds the other day.

I take a fair number of photographs. I have no desire to be a professional photographer, just for my own pleasure. I own a simple, inexpensive digital camera.

Oh yes, I love photography! It's one of my main hobbies. I mostly take landscape and nature photos, and use them as the basis for my Zazzle and Etsy designs. I don't really have any tips though.

Wow, that sounds interesting Connie. Nature photos are so much fun. I like taking photos of butterflies, caterpillars, clouds, buildings. I'm not sure I have a favorite yet... possibly water. There's just something about it.

I took pictures to illustrate what I am writing about, it is most true a picture can save you a paragraph or three. My friend is a keen photograhper, but more of the arty stuff, not my bag of chips!

I do. Did you use some kind of editing program to bring out the Blue in the sky? I do that sometimes. I like to bring my camera when I hike. But sometimes I forget. You never know what you'll see!
