I know there are women here who are around my age and was wondering if you're going through "the change?" I have had the hot flashes and mood swings for forever it seems!!
It had been about a year since I've had my menstrual cycle. I would go three months and then "spot" then nothing. But a year without anything, until the other day!!! OMG!! Now, I'm really emotional and moody!!
Have you went through "the change?" Have any advice?
~Peace~

Lots of good into on the web. I took a supplement for this and I can't remember the name. Then name is like 'estrigon' but not. Diet is important. Licorice helps and Don Quai, both herbal supplementts. This doesn't have to be a horrible time and if you check online there are several products you can use that are natural. The herbal supplement I used was called Estroven and it is sold at Walmart.

Once you have gone one year without a period then you are officially on the other side of menopause. Unfortunately symptoms can last for decades afterwards. The best thing I have found for hot flashes and everything else is Wild Yam Cream. I actually went to buy some more today only to learn that the Canadian Government has disapproved this product. It is not available in Canada. I could buy it online but it will cost me a pretty penny with the U.S. exchange and shipping. I tried herbal teas and essential oils but nothing works like the yam cream. If you can find it I highly recommend it.

I, obviously being a man, have not been through this. My wife, on the other hand, has. I survived her trip through The Change. Since she completed the trip and came out the other side, her mood has been much improved and the other symptoms have disappeared. Her Change lasted a little over a year.

I call it the horrible sickness. And just as you say, it`s almost like a forever thing.
I believe I can justly call it forever, started when l was about 36/37.Im now 44 and no more spots, the hot flashes are rare and the cycles ,well, what cycles?
Mine was quite early due to some medical complication the docs couldn't really explain.I don't know what helped really because I was going through tough times with a lot of issues so l was taking different things at the same time but HRT seemed to do wonders
Good luck, this is something so horrible and no real or proper way to deal with(my opinion)
