Escape To The Country BBC

I never fail to watch the program in BBC where people are moving from the city to countryside.
It always makes me wish it was me looking for that property,to live in the beautiful countryside in my own house.
It`s something im looking forward to,but mostly doable if you are retired as some of these places are isolated.I know l will make it!! maybe not today or tomorrow but some day.

I wonder why retirees want to live in such a place.
They need access to medical care, and as they get older, it is not safe for them to drive.
i think old people should live in a community where others will check in on them, and they have access to amenities.

l wish for the countryside but not too isolated,it should be close enough to reach the nearest town in about 30 minutes.Surprising what ageing does,l was a city person and could not imagine spending my life anywhere else, but as l get older i feel i can do without all the hectic of a big city.
