Laptop Password Reset

I can't log in to my old laptop. I wrote awhile ago that my phone was stolen, where I used to save all my sign in details. Does anybody here know how to reset the password ? or atleast sign in just so I could peek on my local disk? I don't have the reset password disk so I find it hard to reset. I'm running my laptop with the old version windows, windows 7. Is there any way that I could reset it without losing my data? I hope some body here could teach me how. Thank you.

Resetting a lost password was easy with old versions of the operating system like Windows 98 or Windows XP, but can be rather circuitous with Windows 7. I have a copy of ERD Commander which will do the job, but it is not easily available to most people. Resetting it in Windows 7 can be done via the computer, but it is a complex process and not something that I would advise a non technical person to attempt. Your safest bet would be to search for a reset utility online.

Sorry, I am not a technical person but have you tried removing your battery and putting it back again?

Yes. But no, it will not help cuz my problem is how to log in.

There are several utilities which can help. All of them involve creating a bootable USB or DVD disk and then booting from that so you will need access to another computer in order to download and create the bootable drive. There are two different solutions described here:
Home > Resources > Password > How to reset windows 7 password without reset disk When you forgot or lost Windows 7 password, there was no password reset disk available. Could you discover any way to reset Windows 7 password instantly? Believe some people c
