Do You Ever Play Detective?

C'mon now. You know you do. Do what? Play detective. I do in many areas of life. Let me provide a list.
1. When watching TV shows or movies, my wife and I try to solve the crime, first.
2. When seeking out the family tree, I use sleuthing techniques.
3. I seek missing persons online, once reuniting two full sisters, one adopted.
4. I "traveled overseas" to look for my cousin's father. Found him in Georgia, USA.
5. I love to focus on the vagaries of science and see what I can come up with.
6. I try to think why in the world my grandkids act like they do!
C'mon, it's your turn to 'fess up.

South Africa may be a little more difficult, I don't know. I'd offer to assist, but I already have a lot on my plate. Still, you might try this site (not for its religious aspects, but for the genealogy):

@KuznVinny Thanks. I'm not sure whether it will help though. Most of the sites I've tried have had almost nothing on my family, and under the circumstances I've been reluctant to try a paid membership in case that was all they had. Still, there's no harm in trying again.

@Gina145 That site (and all the ones I use, which are many) are free. I find just tons of stuff. Or I get volunteers to find it for me.

There are times in my real life that I want to solve issues to try to figure out what is going on and where to go.

I am also into watching crime dramas and trying to solve them, and I have been a genealogist for 38 years. I have also been a wife and a mother. We can always find what our husbands and children can't.
