I was forced to format my laptop

Just a few days ago,my laptop started misbehaving by not charging and I thought the remedy was to perform a repair but I was wrong when the s repair seemed to take like forever.
So I was here with a laptop that could NOT boot and I decided formatting was the only option left for me.
The sad part is that I lost all my documents which I usually save in my C:/ drive.. especially fresh articles that i had written for my blog.
Anyway, the past has to be forgotten as I welcome my normal duties online. The thing is working fine and the charging issue it had is long gone.

Hi my friend. I am sorry you had to do this.
I can also reformat this one it is called a powerwash, but I too have to be careful as to not lose important things. I hope that your day is good now for you now that you have reformatted it.

I would not even know how to do that. Is there some way you can still recover that data? The laptop I had that would not charge had a damaged pin internally to connect to the power cord.

Once you format the laptop, there is no way of getting the data not unless you had a back-up may be in a flash disk or a different partition on the same hard disk.
Yep, I know how to fix the damaged pin... but once it starts informing you that 'charger connected, not charging', the only way to fix this is by software thing. And because it is hard to locate the problem, the easiest way is to format it.
