During our river and swimming today... (see: my entry Beating the Summer Heat - http://www.mylot.com/post/2914913/beating-the-summer-heat) Wearing a pair of googles I scanned the sandy sea bed... Swimming slowly. I spotted a long cone shape shell with a trail mark on the sand. I thought it must have moved just recently that the waters have not erased the trail yet. Then I realized it was still moving. I reached down for it and grabbed it. After having some photos taken, I returned the creature to the sea. During this trip also, I spotted a large brown bird with white head that I thought was an eagle... A rare site for me. Unfortunately I was in the waters and didnt had my camera with me.

How interesting, and as JJ says it must be a hermit crab. Great photo.

This is the time for water events. Looks like you enjoyed the capture. A great way to cool down and enjpy the waters.
