Do you have trouble finding an eye makeup remover that doesn't burn your eyes? I searched online and found how to make my own.
I wish I could remember and give credit to several sites that gave the instructions, but it's so simple and inexpensive.
My regular makeup remover stings my eyes and can get expensive. But all you need to do is combine 3/4 part liquid witch hazel with 1/4 part olive oil in a small bottle and shake well just before using.
The witch hazel is an astringent and the olive oil softens and moisturizes the delicate skin around your eyes. You can change the ratio to suit your own need.
I love making something that is just what I need and saving money at the same time!

I had to try different ratios for oil to witch hazel to get it just right for me. But it works really well.

That's interesting. I may have to try that when I wear eye makeup.

Oh, that sounds good. I was just going to suggest coconut oil.

I guess most kinds of oil would work, just balance it with the witch hazel so it won't be too oily.

Actually you can use shortening (like Crisco) as makeup remover.

Wow, I never knew that. I guess it's the oil that actually removes the makeup.
