credit cards fees

A credit card company offer my a pre aprove card with $700 credit limted . What the catch ? Here the catch a yearly fee of $150. us. You what I say sorry no deal if they want to me to use their serivce send me a card with no yearly fee then I use it , If I need it. It nice to know my credit rating is going up. But the fees are getting out of hand the intrest was 36% monthly that I think is more then what loan sharks charge.I did not apply for their card I trash the paper Ok that it for now.

Fortunately I have a card charging no yearly fee but I know that will end for every card someday.

Certain times, yearly fees make sense. I believe I heard that an airlines charge card was like $150 a year, but it also gave you every year 1 free round trip ticket. If you fly yearly (I do, but not for personal use), that would be worth it. For me, I have no annual fee that earns points that I can turn in for gifts or gift cards. In the last 10 years I would say we have redeemed $4,000+ worth of gift cards. To us, that works. I agree, paying an annual fee is not usually worth it.
