Average number of responses on my posts

Last night as I was unable to sleep I was thinking about the average number of responses to my posts.
I just wrote down all the days I created posts in March and the number of responses for each post. I added the numbers of responses which was 210. I divided the number of posts which is 33. That gives me an average of about 6 responses per post.
The post with the least amount of responses was two of them written on the 6th that only got 1 response each. The titles were "Quiet Sunday Here" and "My dad saved the day"
The post with the most amount of responses was 23. It was written on the 10th and the title was "My bank account got hacked"
Do you ever look up totals of things like this. I don't know if its my ocd or just curiosity that made me think of it.

I will be honest. Yes, I did that - but I must also mention, it was only for interactions, posts I made during the first two days I was here. When I had arrived here (as a referral I was told that I will make good money as I love writing and interacting). And initially, I did have money on my mind.
But sooner, I realized that here, what I gain is knowledge and friends. So I stopped doing that. I remember my first discussion had only a few responses (about 2 or 3).
At times, yes, it is good to calculate. I mean, if you are busy, you really need to figure out where you stand in terms of time spent and earnings made or even the other gains that you make.

@theSids I agree mylot isn't so much about the money for me. When I first signed up that is all it was about but then I fell in love with the sense of community here. I wouldn't stay if they stopped paying but I do come here and enjoy what little I earn because it is fun to write here and interact with others.

I don't look at statistics for my posts but I quite like it when other people work things out about the site.
Like the other day when owlwings made a post with a graph showing what days of the week were busiest on here...that was very interesting.

@Mike197602 Ohhh see I would love to see that discussion. Can you suggest that post to me so that I can read it? I like statistics and things like that too. The days that mylot is busier wouldn't effect me as I just come here when I have time but it is still cool to see what someone has figured out.

@shaggin I'll put a link to it here then anyone interested can see it.
It's relatively easy to calculate the number of discussions posted in a day because each discussion has a serial number embedded in the URL. All one has to do...

I just have fun here and never try to do that kind of math. The only time in my life I did such a math (and it worked) was when I multiplied the amount of money I spent in ciggies in a day by the number of days in the month. I decided to quit.

Hahaha I'm more then just a little OCD. I have it pretty bad. It is weird things though. I like to always have a pen on me. I was at the doctors with my daughter the other day. She was in the exam room and I was waiting in the waiting room and I wanted to do my crossword puzzles but I did not have a pen on me. OMG it was awful. I always have to have a pen on me as I just never knew when I will need one and not have one.

@scheng1 That is true now that you mention it. Years ago when I was very active on mylot I would get so many responses that it was hard to keep up with. We were also paid by the amount of posts we made. They had to be a certain length. Most things here at mylot haven't changed much but that has.

Mine vary so much every day so I don't really keep track like that.

As long as there are people responding to my post, that's fine with me. the problem why i got so little response because i was busy for the couple of days.

I think that if I am not on commenting on others posts that I get less interaction on my posts. It seems to that the more heart felt the post is the more responses I get. Which is really nice to see how much people care on mylot.

Actually it sounds interesting to me. I just might give it a try as well! It will certainly be easier than trying to figure out that video that I mentioned earlier!!

I kept track of things like that when I was writing on Bubblews, in a spreadsheet. Here I haven't bothered. I might start, as the analysis might be interesting.

That is cool that you kept track of that at Bubblews. I honestly don't think I ever did it at any site before. This was the first time I thought to do it. It was just for the heck of it. It won't change anything about the way I do things here at mylot. I just enjoy when I have some spare time to be here. I have been here pretty much all day. My kids will be home in about an hour and I am so tired. I have had two mugs of coffee and a smoothie and my vitamins. I just can't seem to perk up. Maybe I will go lay up in my bed and take a short nap... then I won't sleep very well tonight though.

I sort of look at response numbers but you can't swear by it to determine trends. Some days are more active than others.
