Emergency Sirens Went off for No Reason

Interesting day! Here in Minnesota the emergency sirens went off at about 0600 this morning and sent everyone into a panic. Not sure if you have these where you are. Typically they will go off if there is a tornado. Usually you only hear them when they test on the first Weds of every month. Not today (its Tues and not the first week of the month). Skies were clear as they could be. Huh? Needless to say everyone was in a panic. I heard that a few 911 centers crashed because they received so many panicked calls that overloaded their systems. Yikes!! So far I have heard nothing. So I am assuming my city is not in a state of emergency. I am thinking maybe someone hit the wrong "detonate!" Button. And probably are losing his or her job. Lol. Has this ever happened to you? do you have emergency sirens when you live?

I live in a coastal city, so I've seen (at least on TV) a tsunami warning system set up. Although I haven't heard it go off (not that I want to hear it go off for an upcoming emergency). It's interesting that all of them went off at 6 o'clock in the morning. If they are connected through a computer system, I bet somebody hacked it, and played a practical prank on everybody.
